The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland to arrive in Latvia for an official visit

On 18 February 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland, Guðlaugur Þór Þórðarson, who will be in Latvia on an official visit. The Ministers are going to discuss bilateral relations between Latvia and Iceland, regional cooperation, and security issues.

During his visit, the Foreign Minister of Iceland will meet with the President of Latvia, Egils Levits; the Speaker of the Saeima (Latvian Parliament), Ināra Mūrniece; the Minister of Defence, Artis Pabriks; and the Chairperson of the Saeima group for promoting cooperation with the Parliament of Iceland, Vita Anda Tērauda.

The Icelandic Foreign Minister will deliver a lecture on the Arctic at Riga Stradiņš University. He will also give an interview for the TV24 programme Globuss as well as visiting the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia and the National Library of Latvia.
