Information on accreditation for EU referendum

In view of the upcoming referendum on Latvia's accession to the European Union scheduled for 20 September 2003, a special press centre will be set up to ensure that media representatives can follow the course and latest results of the referendum. The press centre will be located at the Congress House, 5 Valdemara Street, Riga. To follow the developments during the referendum, media representatives and foreign observers are required to receive special accreditation.

For the media

To receive accreditation, media representatives are kindly asked to apply by filling in the media accreditation form and submitting it by 17 September to the Central Election Commission's referendum press centre (the Parliament's Press Centre) via fax, +371 708 7244, e-mail, This email address is being protected from spambots. For foreign observers

Foreign observers are kindly asked to apply by filling in the international observer's accreditation form and submitting it, with an attached application letter by the respective organisation, to the Central Election Commission by 5 September via fax, +371 732 5251 or e-mail, This email address is being protected from spambots.
