1. If the duration of the intended stay in Latvia does not exceed 30 days, a foreign national entering Latvia with a visa or a foreign national who does not need an entrance visa shall be in possession of financial means at the amount of no less than EUR 14 for each day of stay.
2. If the duration of the intended stay in Latvia exceeds 30 days, a foreign national entering Latvia with a visa or a foreign national who does not need an entrance visa shall be in possession of financial means at the amount of no less than EUR 500 (the minimum monthly wage in Latvia);
3. If a foreign national wants to obtain a visa and a work permit in relation to employment, the necessary means of financial subsistence shall be no less than the average gross monthly earnings in Latvia, i.e., EUR 1076/month (according to the latest information published by the Central Statistics Bureau).
