From December 7 to 19 in Roppongi Hills the Embassy of Latvia in Japan and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia will organize an event Latvia’s Days: Expanding Lights. It will be an opportunity to enjoy Latvian traditional Christmas celebrations and to learn about Latvia’s culture and its achievements.
There will be online concerts taking place on December 11 and 12 with the participation of artists from Latvia and Japan, including Maestro Raimonds Pauls and singer Tokiko Kato, who will perform the Japanese version of the popular song “Dāvāja Māriņa”, NHK Tokyo Children’s Choir, folk ensemble “Balti”, choir “Dzintars”, music band “Sound Poets” and others.
Visitors will have a chance to take part in cooking masterclasses led by chef Mārtiņš Sirmais, chat online with Agnis Čavars, Edgars Krūmiņš, Kārlis Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis – gold medal winners of Tokyo Olympic 3X3 Men’s Basketball Tournament and to find out about innovative solutions and products offered by Latvia’s companies in the Japanese market. A Christmas Market, online business forum and tourism webinars will also be taking place. A special program for children will feature a screening of animation movies produced in Latvia and handicraft classes.
The Latvia’s Days: Expanding Lights event is held within celebrating 100 Years of Friendship Anniversary between Latvia and Japan. The Roppongi Hills Complex is one of the most prestigious life-style centers in Tokyo.
