Ambassador Guna Japiņa presents her credentials to the Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein

On 29 April 2022, in an official ceremony in Vaduz, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Principality of Liechtenstein, Guna Japiņa, presented her credentials to His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein.

The Ambassador’s conversations with the Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education and Sport of Liechtenstein, Dominique Hasler, focused on cooperation between Latvia and Liechtenstein in international organisations, especially the United Nations, to ensure a rules-based international order, and highlighted the potential for bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Note was also made of Latvia’s achievements in the field of digitalisation.

The Ambassador of Latvia to Liechtenstein resides in Vienna, Austria. Guna Japiņa was posted to Vienna on 30 August 2021, succeeding Ambassador Veronika Erte, who had been representing Latvia’s interests in Austria since 2017.
