Before submitting your documents, the call (invitation) must be prepared.

Applicants must come to the Embassy with the full set of documents specified on the PMLP website: vissparmigraciju.pmlp.gov.lv.  Please also prepare all necessary documents in advance, such as copies of passports. Documents issued in Azerbaijan (e.g., criminal record statements, documents certifying kinship, etc.) must be certified with an Apostille and accompanied by a notarized translation into English.

Validity of documents submitted for a residence permit:

  • written request - six months after approval thereof;
  • documents confirming the necessary provision of subsistence and planned place of residence in the Republic of Latvia - three months after issue thereof;
  • statements, letters and other letters, except the  civil registry documents, court rulings, archive statements and education documents - six months after the issue thereof;

Please note that the Embassy accepts non‑cash payments in euros only. In addition to the state fee specified on the PMLP website and selected by the applicant, each person must pay 190 euros for scanning and sending documents to the PMLP.
