Latvian Film Days at the Danish Film Institute "Cinemateket" in Copenhagen

On 11 January 2024, marking the events of January 1991 on Latvia's path to regaining independence, the Danish Film Institute "Cinemateket" in Copenhagen in collaboration with the Embassy of Latvia opened Latvian Film Days with the screening of Viesturs Kairišs film "January". The photo exhibition of the Danish photographer Stig Stasig about the events of January 1991, displayed in the premises of the cinema, effectively complemented the message of the film. 

This event opened the Latvian Film Days at "Cinemateket", where films "January" (directed by Viesturs Kairišs), "My Love Affair with Marriage" (by Signe Baumane), "Keep Smiling Mom" (by Elza Gauja) and the documentary classic "Is it easy to be young?" (by Juris Podnieks) were screened.
