The Embassy of Latvia in Denmark celebrates the 106th anniversary of the Republic of Latvia
On 20 November 2024, the Latvian Ambassador to Denmark, Inga Skujiņa, hosted a reception to mark the 106th anniversary of Latvia’s independence. The event was attended by representatives from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign diplomats, embassy partners, and Latvian citizens.
In her address to the guests, Ambassador Skujiņa highlighted the strong and longstanding bilateral relations between Latvia and Denmark, emphasizing their shared values in promoting regional security and supporting Ukraine in its ongoing struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Ambassador also noted the historical importance of 2024, as Latvia celebrates the 20th anniversary of its accession to both the European Union and NATO.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Latvian culture, with the Copenhagen Latvian Choir "In Corde Meo" and Latvian pianist Elza Ozoliņa, performing with her ensemble "Jazz Piano Trio," creating a truly memorable and festive atmosphere.
