On November 13, the exhibition by Latvian textile artist Inta Amoliņa opens at the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The exhibition features artist’s textile mosaics created between 1992 and 2024, capturing a variety of colour shades and fabric texture characteristics and skilfully transforming the pieces into outstanding textile works. "Textile mosaic is a play with density, texture, colour, sheen of fabric. It is a play of fabric and thread,” says Inta Amoliņa.
Inta Amoliņa is a member of the Latvian Textile Art Association and was a lecturer at the Fashion Design Department of the Art Academy of Latvia, as well as a jury member of several competitions for young fashion designers. Her work has been exhibited in Belgium, France, Estonia, Great Britain, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Germany.
The exhibition is organized by the Permanent Mission of Latvia as a part of the public diplomacy programme, highlighting the Mission’s commitment to deepen Latvia’s diplomatic ties, enrich its international image, and promote cross-cultural understanding.
