The world-famous opera singer Elīna Garanča is visiting the embassy in Dublin

On 9 March 2024, Elīna Garanča, the world-famous Latvian opera singer, mezzo-soprano, visited the Embassy of Latvia in Dublin. Ambassador Juris Štālmeistars congratulated Elīna Garanča on the wonderful concert and expressed his gratitude to her and her spouse, conductor Karel Mark Chichon, for this unforgettable performance on behalf of all compatriots who attended this event in the National Concert Hall. During the meeting, the Ambassador discussed with the artist a series of issues relevant to Latvian and Irish societies, especially in the field of cultural policy. We look forward to the return of both artists to Ireland!

On 8 March 2024, in honour of Women's Day, Elīna Garanča performed together with the Irish National Symphony Orchestra at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. The concert was conducted by Karel Mark Chichon and included pieces from Samson and Delilah, Carmen, Gerona and other world-famous pieces.
