Latvia celebrates its 20th EU/NATO anniversary in Seoul

On April 24, the Embassy of Latvia organised a special event to celebrate Latvia’s 20-year membership in the EU and NATO. Attendees at the event included representatives from Korean businesses and the Embassy's cooperation partners.

The event commenced with Ambassador Āris Vīgants delivering an insightful reflection on Latvia's last two decades within the EU and NATO, offering attendees a deeper understanding of Latvia's achievements and belongingness to Europe.  

The programme also included a comprehensive presentation on benefits and business opportunities with Latvia by Mārtiņš Baumanis, a representative of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in Korea.

The event was wrapped up with a musical performance by the Korean ensemble "Lyrique," showcasing a delightful fusion of Korean and Latvian musical pieces.

This event is part of the public diplomacy programme to mark the 20th anniversary of Latvia’s membership in the EU and NATO.
