Embassy participates in the annual Forest Days

On 11 April 2024, Deputy Head of Mission Santa Krūze participated in the annual Forest Days ("Miško dienos") in Ukmerge, which was organized by the company "Likmere" in cooperation with the company "Latvijas finieris".

The annual Forest Days in Ukmerge, which have already become a great tradition, gathered a large number of participants not only from Lithuania, but also from Latvia this year. On a sunny day and in a great atmosphere,  also Vitālijs Markūns, Head of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania, and Jeļena Markūne, Representative in Lithuania of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, took part in the planting of the new birches together with the Embassy.

Before the event, the general director of the "Likmere" company, Mindaugas Kasmauskis, presented the bomb shelter created with the company's support in the Shilo gymnasium in Ukmerge. The shelter is equipped with easy-to-assemble furniture produced by "Likmere" in cooperation with "LITUA kamo", which is also provided for bomb shelters in Ukraine.
