Ambassador Solveiga Silkalna participates in the visit of the President Edgars Rinkēvičs to Lithuania

On 11 April 2024, President Edgars Rinkēvičs participated in the annual Summit of the Three Seas Initiative in Vilnius, where the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia Solveiga Silkalna participated as part of the delegation.

This year Lithuania organized the Summit of the Three Seas Initiative and Business Form. Within the framework of the Summit, President E. Rinkēvičs also met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. During the meeting, the agreement between Latvia and Ukraine on long-term support and security obligations was signed. The agreement expresses Latvia's clear and firm support for Ukraine and provides for providing Ukraine with military support in the amount of 0.25% of the country's gross domestic product.

Ambassador Solveiga Silkalna participated in the meeting of the delegation of Latvian entrepreneurs with the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Latvia, Kaspars Briškens, as part of the Business Forum of the Three Seas Initiative, organized with the support of the Embassy in Lithuania. The meeting was attended by approximately 30 Latvian entrepreneurs who had come to the Business Forum of the Three Seas Initiative to establish new cooperation opportunities and meet potential business partners.

President E. Rinkēvičs also visited Latvian Embassy and met with Embassy staff.
