Consular Services

VISAS

Starting from June,11, 2017 for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova – holders of biometric passports visa is not required to enter EU memberstates, except Ireland, UK as well Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

It does not apply to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova asking for visa with work permission.

Please be informed that the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Moldova doesn't issue any kind of visas. If you reside in Moldova and you need a visa to enter Latvia, you can apply for a  short term Schengen Visa to enter Latvia at the Common Application Centre (CAC) at the Embassy of Hungary. 

For long-stay visas (the permitted duration of stay does exceeds 90 days in any 180-day period) and visas with work permission the citizens of the Republic of Moldova should contact the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine by prior appointment ONLY.

Please note that starting with June 1st 2015 for Schengen visas Embassy of Latvia accepts electronic Visa application form ONLY.

Along with the documents, the application must be submitted in person at the date fixed during registration at the Latvian Embassy in Ukraine.

Residence permits

Documents for residence permits could be submitted in persona at the consular section of the Embassy by prior appointment ONLY.
