Ambassador Kaspars Ozoliņš visits Toronto

On April 1, in Toronto, Ambassador Kaspars Ozoliņš addressed the Latvian National Federation in Canada during the 23d Annual session of the Council. In his address, Ambassador Ozoliņš emphasized contribution of the Latvian diaspora living in Canada to the restoration of Latvia's independence, the maintenance of Latvian language and culture, as well as noted good cooperation between the Latvian Embassy in Canada and the Federation.

On  March 31, Latvian Ambassador Ozoliņš visited the Latvian House “Kristus Dārzs” to meet the residents of the Latvian house. Ambassador Ozoliņš congratulated 10 seniors who have exceeded the 100-year threshold. Ambassador had a talk with the residents on different subjects- latest developments in Latvia's economy and politics, close cooperation with Canada.

 On March 31, Ambassador Ozoliņš attended the ceremony of presenting an award of the Latvian National Federation in Canada to Kevin Rex, former Canadian Ambassador to Latvia. The reception was attended by members of Latvian diaspora, representatives of different communities, MPs.
