Ambassador Kaspars Ozoliņš visits Quebec City

On April 19 - 21, Latvian Ambassador Kaspars Ozoliņš visited Quebec City.  Ambassador Ozoliņš held a meeting with officials of the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie of Quebec. Ambassador discussed bilaterial cooperation and strengthening of cultural and economic relations.

Ambassador Ozoliņš addressed students of the Institute of Diplomacy and employees of the Ministry of Intrenational Relations and La Francophonie on a topic “Euro-Atlantic Security: View from the Baltic State”.

Ambassador Ozoliņš held a meeting at the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy of Quebec to discuss cooperation on renewable energy (hydrogen, wind farms). Ambassador visited the National Assembly of Quebec as well.

On April 20, Ambassador Ozoliņš gave a lecture to students of Laval University.  Ambassador's lecture was a part of module of international security studies. Students expressed a lively interest and asked questions related to the Russian war in Ukraine and Canada's led NATO eFP mission in Latvia. Ambassador met with the University's academic staff to disscuss further cooperation between higher education institutions and eventual joint research projects. 

 During his visit to Quebec city, Ambassador Ozoliņš gave an interview to La Press Canadienne.
