Ambassador Kaspars Ozoliņš participates in discussion "European security in 2023"

On 7 June, Ambassador Kaspars Ozoliņš participated in discussion "European security in 2023" organised by Canadian International Council (CIC).  Mr. Scott Heatherington, a former Canadian Ambassador to Latvia, also took part in the discussion.

In his address, Ambassador Ozoliņš stressed the importance of NATO-Euro-Atlantic relations in European security structures and, particulary, the contribution of Canada as a framework nation of NATO eFP battle group in Latvia to strengthen the security of the Baltic region.

The lecture was attended by security policy experts and students from Ottawa universities. The audience was interested to hear Latvia's perspective on security issues after Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine.
