On October 21 in Seoul, the Ambassador of Latvia to the Republic of Korea, Jānis Bērziņš, opened a seminar on Latvia’s defense industry at the Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX) — one of Asia’s leading events in the field. “While we may not be known for mass production, we more than compensate with ingenuity and innovation,” the Ambassador emphasized in his opening remarks.
The seminar dedicated to the Latvian defense industry focused on presentations by two Latvian companies — Belss and Eraser — both participating in ADEX to explore new business opportunities and establish strong partnerships in East Asia.
Attendees also gained valuable insights into the Latvian defense sector and current developments through a presentation by M. Baumanis, the Representative of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) in the Republic of Korea.
The participation of Latvian companies in ADEX as well as the organization of the seminar, was coordinated by LIAA. The seminar also featured a live demonstration of the machine translation solutions developed by Tilde, showcasing the technological capabilities of Latvian innovation.
