On 27 November 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in the Republic of Korea hosted a networking and discussion event for FinTech sector entrepreneurs from both Latvia and Korea. The seminar, organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia’s (LIAA) representative in Korea, was formally opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Jānis Bērziņš.
The seminar focused on practical questions related to establishing and developing innovative FinTech enterprises in Latvia, including legal guidance aimed at providing participants with a comprehensive overview of Latvia’s regulatory framework and available support mechanisms.
Additional insight into the national business environment and the current state of the FinTech sector was provided through a presentation delivered by LIAA’s representative in Korea, Mr. Mārtiņš Baumanis. The event also included insights from an eestablished Korean investor active in Latvia’s FinTech industry, and brought together Latvian entrepreneurs seeking strong and reliable cooperation partners in Korea.
The seminar offered an excellent platform for participants to exchange experiences, create new connections, and explore possibilities for future collaboration. Supported by LIAA, Latvian FinTech companies are currently taking part in Korea FinTech Week 2025, one of the leading industry exhibitions in the Republic of Korea.
