The XII Latvian Culture Festival in Dublin
On Sunday, 30 April 2023, the XII Latvian Culture Festival in Ireland will be held. The festival will be opened by Latvian minister for culture Mr Nauris Puntulis, Ambassador-at-Large for the Diaspora at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Ms Elita Gavele, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to Ireland Mr Juris Štālmeistars and Chair of the Latvian Society in Ireland Ms Inguna Grietiņa – Dārziņa.
The participants include children’s dance groups, children’s music group, adult choirs, adult dance groups, school groups, a sports club, a theatre group, a Latvian band, guests from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland, and craft and Latvian food traders. During the event it will be possible to get acquainted with the latest developments in the return process of remigrants, which will be presented by Riga and Kurzeme Region remigration coordinators Daina Šulca un Agnese Berģe.
The Latvian Culture Festival is organised by Latvian Society in Ireland in cooperation with Embassy of the Republic of Latvia and Temple Bar Company. The festivities are supported in part financially by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.
Festive program is expected from 12:00 – 17:00 at Meeting House square, Temple bar, Dublin 2 and will continue with dancing at WILD DUCK THEATRE, Sycamore Street, Temple bar.
