School „Diegabiksis”
School „Diegabiksis” is meant for every Latvian-origin child, aged 3-12 and living in the Netherlands.
The main tasks of the School are to:
- Strengthen and improve Latvian language proficiency;
- Introduce Latvian literature and folklore;
- Give basic knowledge regarding Latvian history, geography and nature.
The school also has a library. Lessons take place once a month in Amsterdam Diemen, on Sundays from 11 to 15. For more information see the website.
Latvian Mixed Choir in the Netherlands "Ziemeļjūra"
Latvian choir "Ziemeļjūra", based in the Hague, was established in 2009. Rehearsals are held twice a week by the conductor Anna Fogelmane. For more information, visit their Facebook, as well as YouTube profiles.
Latvian Mixed Choir “LV koris NL”

Latvian Art and Culture Centre in the Netherlands
A non-profit organisation (founded in 2015) with the aim to create favourable conditions to maintain the link between the Latvian diaspora in the Netherlands and Latvia, as well as to strengthen the Latvian identity by organising various types of Latvian art and cultural events in the Netherlands. Its target audience is not only the Latvian diaspora but also the local community and other interested parties, who are introduced to the diversity of Latvian culture, Latvian history and traditions, thus raising its recognition in the world.
Applying for Diaspora Support Projects
In order to strengthen cooperation with the Latvian diaspora, and promote support for diaspora organisations and the contribution to Latvia's development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs co-finances activities in the fields of culture, education, science, economy, sport and other areas. Latvians NL is a non-profit organisation that unites and informs Latvian nationals living in the Netherlands, promoting cooperation and cultural links with Latvia. More information about the organisation can be found on their website, where news about various events, including cultural and educational events, is published. "Latvieši NL” provides a platform for news about local diaspora organisations and interviews with Latvians living in the Netherlands. The website also provides information about the accessible Latvian Library in Amsterdam, which offers children's and young people's books in Latvian. The organisation is also active on social media and can be found on Facebook. On their Facebook page, you can find up-to-date information about events in the Latvian community, such as poetry evenings, competitions and concerts.

ELA - European Latvian Association
Association ELA is an association registered in Latvia which connects different diaspora organisations within Europe to strengthen mutual cooperation and links with Latvia.
PBLA - World Association of Free Latvians
The World Association of Free Latvians (WFLA) is the highest representation of central Latvian organisations abroad. Currently, the mission of the PBLA is to unite Latvians around the world to work together to protect Latvia's freedom and independence, strengthen democratic processes and national security, help Latvia's economy and national well-being to flourish, as well as to maintain the structure of Latvian education and cultural activities around the world.
eLPA - Latvian Civic Alliance
The Latvian Civic Alliance is the largest umbrella organisation for the interests of the non-governmental sector, which aims to strengthen civil society in Latvia, support the common interests of NGOs and create a favourable environment for their activities. The organisation's mission is based on representing civil society, including the common interests of associations and foundations based on fundamental democratic freedoms and human rights.
European Movement in Latvia
Founded in 1997, the European Movement in Latvia (EKL) is one of the largest and most influential non-governmental organisations working in the policy field in Latvia. The main objectives of the EKL are Latvia's active participation in the European Union (EU) and the involvement of an informed public in decision-making. The organisation's main activities are related to the representation of Latvia's interests in the EU and cooperation with other European countries. Raising European awareness in Latvia and general support for Latvian society and its involvement in decision-making - in Latvia and in Europe.
