Lithuanian tourism industry has wide interest in the Latvian tourism seminar in Vilnius “What’s new, Latvia?”

On 20 March 2024, Ambassador of Latvia Solveiga Silkalna opened the Latvian tourism seminar "What's new, Latvia?" in Vilnius for representatives of the Lithuanian tourism industry about the latest opportunities offered by Latvia in tourism industry.

Addressing the participants of the seminar, the Ambassador expressed her satisfaction with the choice of Lithuanians to visit their neighboring country as Latvia is one of the most popular travel destinations for Lithuanians. "This seminar is an excellent opportunity to inform the representatives of the Lithuanian tourism industry about the latest trends and travel opportunities in Latvia", emphasized S.Silkalna.

The seminar programme included presentations from tourism industry of Vidzeme, Latgale, Kurzeme and Zemgale, as well as members of the tourism industry of Riga, Riga region and Jūrmala, and was attended by more than 40 representatives of the Lithuanian tourism industry and mass media and 20 representatives of the Latvian tourism industry.

The seminar was organized by the Tourism Department of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency with the support of the Embassy of Latvia in Lithuania.
