Embassy congratulates Women in Science Baltic Fellowship 2024 Award winners

On 12 November 2024, a solemn Award presentation ceremony of "Women in Science Baltic Fellowship 2024" was held in Vilnius.

Three young scientists Dr. Chem. Daniela Godiņa, Dr. Phil. Anne Sauka and Mg. Līga Ignatāne Laureates, together with women scientists from Estonia and Lithuania, were honored for their achievements in science, receiving scholarships for further research.

In June 2024, the Academies of Sciences of the Baltic States, in cooperation with the UNESCO national commissions, announced a joint fellowship competition for women scientists "Women in Science Baltic Fellowship 2024". Nine outstanding Baltic women scientists each received a fellowship of 7 000 euros. The purpose of the fellowship is to support female scientists so that they can build a career in the field of scientific research in the Baltic States, as well as promote the achievements of young scientists and encourage the most talented students to choose the profession of a scientist.
