Ambassador Solveiga Silkalna participates in the visit of the Minister of Culture Agnese Lāce to Kaunas

On 20 March 2025, Minister of Culture Agnese Lāce participated in the opening of the exhibition "From Amber to the Stars" in Kaunas in honor of the anniversary of the famous artist M.K. Čiurlionis. The exhibition, which shows not only the most famous works of M. K. Čiurlionis, but also works by his contemporary artists, is dedicated to the artist's 150th birthday. The artworks were brought to Kaunas from the most famous European museums, including the National Museums of Latvia and Estonia. Ambassador Solveiga Silkalna participated in the Latvian delegation.

As part of the Minister of Culture working visit to Kaunas, a meeting was also held between Minister of Culture of Lithuania Šarūnas Birutis, Minister of Culture of Latvia Agnese Lāce and  Minister of Culture of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi to discuss issues regarding the preparedness of the cultural sector for crisis situations and mutual cooperation. The Ministers stressed the need to strengthen information resilience and strengthen the capacity of specialists through the implementation of training programs.
