Ambassadors of Latvia and Estonia met with Minister of Justice of Lithuania

On 25 March 2025, after joint initiative of Latvia and Estonia, Ambassadors Solveiga Silkalna and Kaili Terras met with the Minister of Justice of Lithuania Rimantas Mockus.

Minister R.Mockus expressed gratitude that Ambassadors of Latvia and Estonia had arrived together, emphasizing that cooperation between the Baltic States is of great importance. During the meeting, issues on the EU agenda, maritime law, holding the Belarusian regime accountable, cooperation between the Probation Services of the Baltic States and reducing bureaucracy were discussed.

The Minister of Justice emphasized that "all platforms in the field of justice will be actively used so that the enemy does not even think about approaching the borders of the Baltic States, and both the Special Tribunal for the Investigation of Russian Aggression Crimes against Ukraine, the sanctions policy, and the use of the aggressor's frozen assets to save Ukraine are challenges that the Baltic States will accelerate with all the means of the justice system".
