Latvian experts participate in Energy Forum in Vilnius

On 22 May 2025, the 13th annual Energy Forum, one of the most important international conferences in the Baltic Sea region, was held in Vilnius. This year's forum brought together more than 35 distinguished speakers from 8 countries, including Latvia. Industry experts shared their experiences on the most pressing challenges and future solutions in the European energy sector. This year, the central theme of the Energy Forum was energy dialogues, and the main topics of discussion included synchronization with European electricity networks, security of energy supply and crisis management, as well as the latest developments in energy storage and green transition technologies.

Latvia was represented at this year's Energy Forum by Rolands Irklis, Chairman of the Board of Augstsprieguma tīkls, who participated in a discussion on energy independence and synchronization of electricity grids, and Katrīna Duka-Gulbe, Executive Director of the Wind Energy Association, who participated in a discussion on energy infrastructure and crisis management.

The Energy Forum was supported by: Embassies of Latvia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden in Lithuania and the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Lithuania.
