 Parliamentary Secretary Artjoms Uršulskis in Vilnius participated in the "Snow Meeting" of foreign affairs and security policy experts

On 15-16 January 2026, in Vilnius, Artjoms Uršuļskis, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the annual high-level foreign and security policy expert forum “Snow Meeting”, which is taking place in Lithuania for the 19th time. Ambassador Solveiga Silkalna participated in the Latvian delegation.

 “Snow Meeting” meeting was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys, and experts' discussions focused on strengthening the transatlantic alliance and NATO capabilities, supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, as well as the importance of close cooperation between the Baltic States and the Nordic countries (NB8) in the security and defense of the region. Parliamentary Secretary A. Uršuļskis spoke at the discussion panel dedicated to supporting Ukraine. Also, within the framework of the meeting, A. Uršuļskis participated in the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Baltic States and Turkey.

Traditionally, Snow Meeting discussions bring together state officials, diplomats, security policy experts and academics to discuss current security and foreign policy challenges.
