Minister of Health Hosams Abu Meri visits Embassy

On 5-6 May 2026, Minister of Health Hosams Abu Meri participated in the 20th Baltic Policy Dialogue meeting, where policymakers, international experts and industry professionals discussed the development of long-term care in the Baltic States. Ambassador Solveiga Silkalna also participated in the Latvian delegation.

As part of the Baltic Policy Dialogue meeting, the Baltic Ministers of Health signed a joint declaration on strengthening the resilience of civilian healthcare systems, confirming their political commitment to deepen regional cooperation in the areas of health security, crisis preparedness and civil-military coordination.

The Minister of Health also visited the Embassy and met with Embassy staff.
