Minister of Finance Arvils Ašeradens participated in International Conference on strengthening the EU Eastern Border
On 23 April 2026, Minister of Finance Arvils Ašeradens in Vilnius participated in International Conference "Strengthening the economic and financial resilience of the EU's eastern border - the search for strategic and coordinated measures". Ambassador Solveiga Silkalna participated in the Latvian Delegation.
At the international high-level conference, Ministers of Finance and economics of Eastern European countries, representatives of the European Commission and international financial institutions, as well as political and financial experts discussed the challenges facing the EU Eastern Border countries, as well as strengthening Europe's defense and security in changing circumstances. The Minister of Finance of Lithuania, the Minister of Finance and Economy of Poland, the Minister of Finance of Estonia and the Minister of Finance of Latvia signed a joint declaration on strengthening the economic and financial resilience of the EU's eastern border.
