"Latvijas finieris" factory in Lithuania "Likmere" holds annual Forest Days

On 23 April 2026, Deputy Head of Mission Santa Krūze participated in the annual Forest Days (“Miško dienos”) in the Ukmergė district, organized by the “Latvijas finieris” factory in Lithuania “Likmere”.

This year the event was held for the 19th time and has become a great tradition. It gathered not only a large number of Lithuanian foresters and forest industry companies and “Latvijas finieris” representatives, but also students from Ukmergė schools, and the Mayor of the Ukmergė district municipality, Darius Varnas, attended the event. Executive Director of Latvian Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania, Vitalījs Markūns, also participated in the planting of new birch trees.
