Priority consular assistance is provided: to Latvian nationals in emergency situations (for example, when a person has been detained), to clients whose purpose of travel to Latvia is related to humanitarian reasons (such as attending a relative’s funeral or a serious illness), as well as for services that can be only received at the Consulate in person. Services (for example, various types of certificates, citizenship registration, obtaining a birth certificate, etc.) can be requested directly from the relevant Latvian institution.
