Ambassador Andris Razāns visits University of Liege

On 23 March 2023, His Excellency Ambassador Andris Razāns and Mrs Pascale Ruth, Honorary Consul of Latvia in the Walloon Region, paid a visit to the University of Liege, located in the Walloon Region of Belgium.    

During the visit, the Ambassador delivered a lecture titled "Why Does EU and Transatlantic Support for Ukraine Matter? A View from Northern Europe" to the esteemed faculty and law students at the university. The lecture was attended by a large audience, with an approximate turnout of 500 attendees.  The Ambassador adeptly navigated a range of questions from the students, demonstrating his expertise and knowledge on the topic. He was pleased to engage in meaningful dialogue with students. 

Following the lecture, the Ambassador had the opportunity to engage in productive discussions with the Rector of the University, Mrs Anne-Sophie Nyssen, as well as with members of the faculty and students.
