The Embassy of Latvia to Belgium participates in Europe Day in Luxembourg
On May 9th of this year, the "Europe Day 2024" event took place, providing an opportunity for the member states and institutions of the European Union to showcase themselves to numerous attendees. This year's event, held at the European Parliament in Luxembourg, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the largest EU expansion in history, focusing on member states' performance, including Latvia, which joined the EU 20 years ago.
Visitors to the Latvian stand could familiarize themselves with materials about the diverse tourism opportunities in Latvia and the culture of our country, as well as taste various traditional delicacies. Interested parties asked the organizers and participants of the Latvian stand questions about the economy of our country, the security situation, the Latvian language, and the most important cultural events in Latvia.
"Mazās Dzērves", a Latvian children's folklore group from Luxembourg, also performed at the "Europe Day 2024" concert in Luxembourg.
The Latvian stand was created in cooperation with the representatives of "Association Luxembourg—Latvia" and thanks to the informational materials of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, "Lauku ceļotājs," and different Latvian regions.
