Europe Day celebration

On May 8, the Embassy of Latvia in India took part in a grand Europe Day celebration in New Delhi. Within the framework of the joint project “Europe in Motion” of the embassies of the European Union, the Latvian Embassy, together with the embassies of Austria, Hungary, Denmark, showed a short film programme on the Song and Dance Celebration at the premises of the Austrian Embassy. Visitors were told about the traditions of singing and dancing in Latvia, as well as they received souvenirs - CD discs with the Song Festival repertoire. On the evening of May 8, at a large-scaled reception organised by the Delegation of the European Union, where 1800 guests were invited, the Embassy of Latvia participated with an information stand on Latvia and various Latvian treats were offered.
