Elections of the Latvian Parliament (15th Saeima)
On 3 October 2026, elections for the 15th Saeima were held both in Latvia and abroad. Latvian citizens had the opportunity to vote at 88 polling stations in 33 countries worldwide. Of these, 40 polling stations were located at Latvian diplomatic and consular missions, while 48 polling stations were established with the active involvement of members of the Latvian diaspora, including in countries where Latvia does not maintain diplomatic representation, such as Brazil and Luxembourg. At 37 polling stations located at Latvian diplomatic and consular missions, voters were also given the opportunity to vote by post.
A total of 23,196 voters abroad participated in the elections to the 15th Saeima, including 4,476 postal voters. At the Embassy of Latvia in India, 17 Latvian citizens voted by post.
The highest voter turnout abroad was recorded in the United Kingdom, where 3,703 Latvian citizens voted, followed by Germany with 2,806 voters, and the United States with 1,558 voters.
Altogether, 806,641 voters participated in the elections to the 15th Saeima in Latvia and abroad.
