Various certificates, statements and references can be requested through the Latvian State Portal, www.latvija.lv, including:
- on a person’s marital status;
- on a person’s legal status;
- on a current identity document;
- on a driving licence;
- on a vehicle registration certificate on (absence of) a criminal record.
Embassy issues various statements and references in Latvian, English, Russian and Czech. A person is entitled to request a reference about themselves, their minor children or a deceased relative, or a person under their guardianship or curatorship.
