EU Foreign Affairs Council focus: future EU support for Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, and EU-China relations
On 15 December 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels, Belgium. The focus of the meeting will be:
- on increasing pressure on Russia, including further sanctions and combating the “shadow fleet”;
- on the situation in the Middle East, including Syria, and the implementation of the Gaza peace plan;
- on EU-China relations.
Ministers of Foreign Affairs will discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia to be held on 7 June 2026 with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirozyan.
Following the EU Foreign Affairs Council, ministers will also participate in the EU-Lebanon Association Council and the EU-Angola Cooperation Council.
