Parliamentary Secretary Dace Melbārde to attend informal meeting of EU ministers for European affairs in Dublin

On 3–4 September 2026, an informal meeting of European Union (EU) ministers for European affairs will take place in Dublin, Ireland, where Latvia will be represented by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dace Melbārde. 

The meeting will focus on the EU Multiannual Financial Framework, EU enlargement and the European Commission’s European Democracy Shield initiative, with a focus on promoting tolerance and security in political processes within EU member states. Representatives of EU candidate countries and a potential candidate country will also participate in the discussion on EU enlargement.
