The Embassy of Latvia in Estonia can issue references and statements from the Register of Natural Persons of Latvia (statement about the place of residence of a person, his/her marital status, passport details and other details included in the Register of Natural Persons).
A person is entitled to request information about itself, its minor children or a deceased relative, or a person under its guardianship or curatorship.
The service is available to persons who reside abroad permanently and have indicated their place of residence abroad in the Register of Natural Persons.
Information may be requested:
- At the Embassy upon prior appointment;
- electronically by sending a request to the Embassy e-mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) signed by a secure electronic signature;
- from the Citizenship and Migration Office in Latvia.
The state and consular fee is payable for the receipt of information from the Register of Natural Persons depending on the term of preparation of the statement according to the “Regulations regarding the state fee for the receipt of information from the Register of Natural Persons” and “Price List of the Consular Remuneration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Procedures for the Collection of the Consular Remuneration and State Fees”.
Certificate of (non-) criminal record can be requested online directly from the Information Centre of the Ministry of Interior of Latvia.
A person also can request statements and references on the basis of data from the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (the CSDD).
