In order to increase epidemiological safety in international transit and decrease risks of bringing the Covid-19 infection into Latvia, the Government of Latvia has decided, as of 15 January 2020, to require a negative Covid-19 test result that is not older than 72 hours upon entry into the country. The decision was made in coordination with Estonian and Lithuanian governments. There are several exemptions, for example transit passengers.
