Film "Soviet Milk" shown at the 18th Global Film Festival Noida

On December 11, the Latvian film "Soviet Milk" was shown at the opening ceremony of the 18th Global Film Festival Noida. In his opening remarks H.E. Ambassador of Latvia Mr Juris Bone mentioned painful pages of the Latvian history reflected in the film “Soviet Milk” in the context of the woman-doctor's survival story in totalitarian state. The promotion of women's rights is on the top of Latvia's foreign policy priorities. The screening of the film is a public diplomacy event of Latvia's election of the UN Security Council for 2026-2028. One of the priorities of the UN Security Council is WPS (Women, Peace, Security). Foreign diplomats, Indian MPs, representatives of India's film industry attended the event.
