On December 14, 2019, local Latvians celebrated Christmas at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in the Czech Republic. Participants gathered arount the Christmas tree, sang Latvian carrols accompanied by Smolkovi couple and enjoyed the performance of the Czech-Latvian folklore group “Krusa”. Both children and adults had an opportunity to bake and decorate Latvian gingerbread. Latvian Christmas old man occured with presents for children. Approximately 50 active members of Latvian diaspora in the Czech Republic came to the event.
