The Ambassador of Latvia Elita Kuzma accredited to the Czech Republic

On 16 February 2023, in an official ceremony in Prague Castle, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Elita Kuzma, presented her letter of credence to the President of the Czech Republic, Miloš Zeman.

The Ambassador highlighted the very good relations between Latvia and the Czech Republic characterized by close bilateral cooperation, including in the EU and NATO.

Elita Kuzma thanked Czechia for its contribution to the strengthening of security of Latvia and the Baltic Sea region by taking part in the NATO enhanced Forward Presence (NATO eFP) battle groups in Latvia and Lithuania.

The long-standing cooperation between the national cultural institutions of Latvia and the Czech Republic – especially in the area of linguistics and literature as well as between the national libraries – is a prime example of successful bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
