On 8 October 2025 the Ambassador of Latvia, H.E. Mr Bahtijors Hasans paid a regional visit to Istanbul. During the visit the Ambassador had meetings with the Governor of Istanbul, Mr Davut Gül, Deputy Head of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Mr Mehmet Develioğlu and the Director for Türkiye - Europe Business Council of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), Ms Neslihan Damalı.

Cooperation in economics and investment opportunities in Latvia was discussed with the Turkish authorities and institutions. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce organized “Latvian Business and Investment Days” presentation event, in which the Ambassador made a presentation about the entrepreneurship and investment opportunities in Latvia, met with the local entreprenours and investors. He answered their questions. The presentation attracted many entepreneours attention. The attendance was remarkable.
