Ambassador K. Ozoliņš participates at the panel discussion on the security of NATO's Eastern flank

On December 6,  Ambassador Kaspars Ozoliņš, together with the Lithuanian, Estonian and Polish Ambassadors to Canada, participated in the discussion panel "The Security of NATO's Eastern Flank: Halfway from Madrid to the Vilnius Summit". The panel was chaired by the former Canadian Ambassador to the Baltic States, Kevin Rex. Among the participants were members of the the Canadian Parliament, prominent representatives of think tanks and representatives of the Global Affairs Canada. The discussion touched upon various security aspects of NATO's Eastern flank in connection with the brutal Russian war in Ukraine - how security in the region is strengthened by implementing the decisions of the Madrid summit, the further development of the NATO eFP battle group in the long term, issues of the eventual agenda of the Vilnius summit, etc.
