The Embassy of Latvia participates in the European Union Cultural Fair in Ottawa

On 13 July, the Embassy of Latvia participated in the annual European Union Cultural Fair  in Ottawa. Thoughout the day, the visitors were offered information on Latvian rich culture and traditions, and tourism, as well as a taste of the legendary Riga Black Balsam and sweets from chocolatier Laima. 

The folk-dance group "Otavas Rotaļa" performed several dances together with the Ukrainian  "Svitanok".  The public joined the dancers to learn some basic steps.

The European Union Cultural Fair is organized by the European Union Delegation in Canada in close collaboration with the Embassies of the EU memberstates in Ottawa.  As usual, the event draws thousands of visitors.
