Ambassador of Latvia, Andris Razāns, submits credentials to the President of the Republic of Kenya
On 4 December 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Andris Razāns, submitted the letter of credence to the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto. The accreditation of Latvia’s first non-resident ambassador to Kenya is an important step in strengthening bilateral relations.
The Ambassador will work to further deepen the political dialogue between Latvia and Kenya, strengthen the legal framework, as well as developing economic relations and cooperation.
During his accreditation visit, the Ambassador discussed the current agenda of bilateral relations with Kenyan officials, and also met representatives from the Kenyan Chamber of Commerce and the Kenyan Association of Manufacturers.
The Ambassador of Latvia resides in Cairo, Egypt. Diplomatic relations between Latvia and Kenya were established in 1996. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kenya to Latvia, Angelina Kavindu Musili, resident in Stockholm, Sweden, was accredited in September 2024.
