As ambassador of the Republic of Latvia in the Arab Republic of Egypt I am very delighted that you have opened our Embassy`s home page. Since arrival to Egypt in August 2023, my mission is to develop, expand and strengthen ties and facilitate ways how the Peoples of Latvia and Egypt, two hospitable, innovative and hardworking nations, interact for their mutual benefit.

Let me mention that Latvia, a Baltic state, is a country with a strong North European identity. Established on the 18th of November 1918, with one of the oldest Constitutions in Europe (since 1922), Latvia today is a vibrant member of the United Nations, a member of the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.

Latvia`s geography on the shores of the Baltic Sea, its history and experience of its people have strengthened our belief that prosperity and wellbeing for our people come through interaction with other nations, near and far. It has been so in our past, it is so now and it will be so in future. I am convinced that Latvia and Egypt have a great potential for co-operation in such areas as education, tourism, ICT, green energy, robotics, transport and trade. Let’s explore it together!
