Mini Spotlight to shed a light on Latvia's business potential in the USA

On Tuesday, May 30th at 19:00 EET / 12PM ET, the business webinar series Mini Spotlight will be officially launched. The series showcases key information about Latvian business development and export potential, as well as success stories of Latvian companies in the American marketplace.

Mini Spotlight is a series of 10 webinars starting in May, 2023 and lasting through 2024. These webinars also support the upcoming business conference “Spotlight Latvia” to be held in Boston, MA on September 21st and 22nd of this year. The Spotlight Boston event aims to gather 250+ in-person attendees and will feature key government, academic and private enterprise / business leaders to focus on the conference’s themes of technology (biomedicine, pharma, bioeconomics) and education (fostering human capital in STEM). Mini Spotlight webinars are organised by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA), the Latvian American Chamber of Commerce (LACC) and the Latvian exporters' association “The Red Jackets".

The first of the webinars will be opened by the Ambassador of Latvia to the USA, Māris Selga and the head of the LIAA representative office in the USA, Toms Zvidriņš. They will be joined by the SAF Tehnika CEO Normunds Bergs, the chairman of the board of MikroTik John Tully and Board Member of Azeron Jānis Kūlbārdis who will have a round table discussion. During the discussion, the participants will share stories about the progress of their companies in the USA market, the history of their companies’ path to exporting to the USA, as well as the lessons learned during export promotion. At the end of the webinar, participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions online and discuss possible cooperation opportunities.

The first Mini Spotlight seminar will be available on the Zoom platform, at the link: https://ej.uz/zmae and in a special YouTube account for the recording of the event.
