Ambassador Elita Kuzma submits copies of Letter of Credence to the Ambassador of Mexico to the United States

On 11 December 2025, in Washington, the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Latvia to the United Mexican States, Elita Kuzma, presented copies of the Letters of Credence during a formal ceremony to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to the United States of America, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán.

During the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening political dialogue and advancing economic cooperation in several areas, including air transport, information and communication technologies, education, and pharmaceuticals. They also discussed improvements to the legal framework to further advance bilateral relations.

The officials exchanged views on current issues in EU–Mexico relations, as well as on developments in the Western Hemisphere. The discussions also underscored the need to enhance cooperation in international organizations, especially the United Nations.
